Equipment Delivery Driver

The Equipment Delivery Driver is responsible for driving a truck to deliver equipment & products to customers safely, timely and professionally. The driver is also responsible for setting up equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Load truck with equipment & Product.
  • Schedule and deliver equipment.
  • Equipment inventory in Norton
  • Drive truck and deliver equipment & product to customers.
  • Stock coolers and freezers in an orderly manner. Follow Plan-o-grams as needed.
  • Interact professionally with customers.
  • Resets as needed.
  • Adhere to all professional appearance requirements (uniform, footwear, etc.).
  • Monitor foreign products, the general appearance, and the cleanliness of cooler and freezer equipment.
  • Effectively communicate order/customer issues to supervisor at time of delivery.
  • Collect COD/Payment at time of delivery when required.
  • Check vehicle for safety/maintenance issues prior to leaving the depot and throughout the day.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Driving experience required – 2+ years with 24 foot box truck.
  • Merchandising experience preferred.

Skills/Qualifications

  • 2-3 years experience driving at least 24-foot box truck.
  • Must be able to speak English.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Ability to professionally communicate with customers.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to reach above head.
  • Ability to climb, bend, kneel and crouch.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 300 pounds.
  • Ability to operate a manual pallet jack, Stair lifter.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
