3rd Shift Freezer/Warehouse Loader-Checker

The Freezer/Warehouse Loader-Checker is responsible for loading product onto trucks for delivery to customers and checking product while loading to ensure correct quantities and product are loaded. This position operates a variety of warehouse/material handling equipment including forklifts and hand trucks. Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 7pm to finish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Load product onto trucks in pre-determined order.
• Check product to ensure correct quantities and product are being loaded.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 – 3 years relevant warehouse and receiving experience.
• 1 – 3 years distribution experience preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, hand-trucks, reach trucks.
• Experience operating wire guided stock picker preferred.

Skills/Qualifications

• Ability to operate warehouse and material handling equipment, including, but not limited to, forklifts and hand trucks.
• Must be able to read English.
• Strong math skills.
• Must be organized and accurate.
• Must have strong multi-tasking and follow-through skills. Must be able to follow multiple directions.
• Proven ability to accurately meet deadlines under pressure.
• Must be a team player.
• Must work well unsupervised and be self-motivated.

Physical Demands

• Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to see, hear and talk. Vision requirements include: close, distance, color and peripheral vision; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus.
• Constantly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, bend, reach above head and lift from ground.
• Frequently required to climb or balance, push, steer, and manipulate small and large objects.
• Ability to repetitively push and pull 4-wheeled carts on an hourly basis.
• Occasionally required to operate machinery.
