Summary
As a Freezer Associate, you will be integral to maintaining the organization and presentation of frozen goods in our retail environment. Reporting to the Store Manager, your core skills in customer service, merchandising, and pricing will ensure an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Your premium skills in inventory management and training will aid in supervising team members and optimizing store operations. Additionally, your relevant skills in stocking and cash register operations will support efficient inventory control and enhance overall store performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that all manufactured products are stored in a safe and organized manner
- Verify daily production counts on finished products at end of production day.
- Ensure all manufactured products are held in hardening freezer at least 2 days before shipment.
- Organize daily product transfers and ensure that all finished good transfers are accurate.
- Isolate and clearly mark any items that may be put on hold for further evaluation.
- Oversee the unloading of incoming shipments and the loading of outgoing shipments.
- Verify all incoming products to purchase order to ensure correct description(s), quantity, and proper condition.
- Ensure all products received are tagged with date of receipt and description to maintain proper rotation and make inventory more efficient and accurate.
- Establish warehouse/freezer slotting system to efficiently locate and inventory products.
- Ensure that all ingredients with allergens are stored in separate designated area(s)
- Ensure all received ingredients, packaging and finished goods go into proper storage area on date of receipt.
- Participate in monthly physical product inventories and reconciliation
- Complete required shipping and receiving documents according to procedure and bring to office for processing each afternoon.
- Stage ingredient stock as needed for the Pasteurization or the Ice Cream Production rooms.
- Visually inspect returns for damage and ensure they are within code. There must be documentation with all returns.
- Advise General and/or Plant Manager of any ingredients or supplies that appear to be getting low in inventory based on average usage.
- Keep the warehouse, coolers, freezer, and loading dock area clean and organized to provide a neat and safe working environment.
- Additional duties/responsibilities as may be assigned by the Plant Manager
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to verify counts by product for both incoming and outbound orders
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including, but not limited to forklifts, reach trucks, electric pallet jacks and hand-trucks.
- Must work well unsupervised and be self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently or on a team.
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, reach above head and lift from ground.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
- Exposure to extreme cold.
